About The Position

BridgePrep Academy of Broward is hiring a full-time Middle School Mathematics Teacher, including Algebra I, for the current school year. The teacher will work alongside SMART Management to foster a technology-infused learning environment that supports dual-language enrichment, analytical thinking, and high academic standards. The role is based at BridgePrep Academy Broward in Hollywood, Florida, and reports to the Principal.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Valid Florida Educator Certificate or Statement of Eligibility covering Middle Grades Mathematics (5–9), Mathematics (6–12), or Elementary Education with a Middle Grades Math/Algebra endorsement.
Clear a Level 2 fingerprinting and background screening prior to the start date.

Nice To Haves

A major in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
Prior middle school math teaching experience.
High school math certification for Algebra I credit.
ESOL or Reading Endorsements.
An advanced degree.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver dynamic, standards-based lessons in middle school mathematics and foundational Algebra I.
Build students’ problem-solving skills, numerical literacy, and conceptual understanding.
Create a positive classroom community and adapt math instruction for diverse learning needs, including ELL, 504, and ESE plans.
Participate in ongoing professional development in partnership with instructional leaders.
Track student achievement and progress metrics.
Maintain active partnerships with parents and guardians.
