Part-Time Math Tutor - Sunnyvale
About The Position
Think Zone Learning Center, part of TAL Education Group, is hiring a part-time Math Tutor to provide personalized math instruction to K–8 students at its Sunnyvale learning center. Tutors help students build strong math foundations, confidence, and problem-solving skills in a positive and engaging learning environment. The center provides the curriculum, materials, and training; lesson planning is not required. The role is designed to fit around school schedules and involves 6–12 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours. Tutors are generally expected to work 2–4 shifts per week. Typical shifts are Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Wednesday and Friday from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM, or Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Saturday availability is strongly preferred. The program dates are June 2, 2026 through June 5, 2027, and pay is $19.00–$20.00 per hour. The position offers the opportunity to gain teaching, communication, and leadership experience in a supportive team environment, with potential growth into Lead Tutor, Assistant Manager, and Learning Center Manager roles.

- Be currently in high school and at least 16 years old, currently in college, or have a high school diploma.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching or tutoring experience is a plus but is not required.
- Saturday availability is strongly preferred.
