About The Position

Math Corps is hiring Math Tutors to support students at a local school by helping them strengthen their math skills and confidence. Tutors receive training in proven activities and ongoing coaching. Each school day, tutors work with groups of up to three students for 20–30 minutes, then help students return to their classrooms and bring in the next group. Tutors serve students throughout the school day until all assigned students have received support. The positions are for the 2026–27 school year and run from January 2027 through June 2027. Full-time members serve 32 hours per week, with fewer hours during weeks with holidays or school release days. Daytime hours correspond with school start and end times, Monday through Friday. Part-time positions of 25 and 15 hours per week are also available. Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a paycheck (stipend) every two weeks at $19 per hour served, along with additional benefits. Math Corps is powered by AmeriCorps members and administered by Ampact, a nonprofit organization. The program is fueled by research from ServeMinnesota’s National Science + Service Collaborative.
