About The Position
St. Luke’s School, a secular college-preparatory day school serving grades 5 through 12, seeks a Math Tutor for its on-campus Math Tutoring program. This program connects students needing extra help in their math classes with a tutor for sessions during the school day. The program typically supports students from middle school math through Algebra II. Tutors usually meet with 2-3 students per day, Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a Math teacher or tutor
- Interest and experience in working with adolescents
- Bachelors degree in Mathematics or related field
Responsibilities
- Provide review and reteaching of material that students may have learned before but have not retained fully
- Provide extra help for students with homework and quiz/test preparation
- Document each tutoring session in a Google doc shared with the student’s SLS Math Teacher
- Communicate with parents as needed
