Math Tutor
About The Position
Mathnasium is a leading education brand with over 1,300 learning centers worldwide, dedicated to teaching math to students from kindergarten through high school. Our mission is to help children understand, master, and love math through the Mathnasium Method™, a curriculum developed over decades of hands-on instruction. This is a part-time position with flexible yet consistent hours, and all work is conducted at the Mathnasium Center, eliminating the need for homework correction or lesson plan development outside of work. Applicants must be available to commit for at least 12 months, and this is not a summer-only position.
Requirements
- Strong math proficiency through calculus.
- Passion for math and working with students.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and be trained.
- High motivation, commitment, patience, and enthusiasm.
- Desire to work through the entire school year is required.
- All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
- Provide work authorization.
- Pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Classroom and/or one-on-one mathematics teaching experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Teach math to students in kindergarten through high school using the Mathnasium Method™.
- Work with a variety of students at different grade levels.
- Conduct all Mathnasium work at the Mathnasium Center.
