Junior Math Tutor
About The Position
Mathnasium is a leading education brand with over 1,300 learning centers globally, dedicated to providing math instruction to students from kindergarten through high school. Our mission is to teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it, utilizing the proprietary Mathnasium Method™. This role offers flexible, consistent part-time hours within a Mathnasium Learning Center, with no outside work required such as homework correction or lesson plan development. The position requires a commitment of at least 12 months and involves working with a variety of students across different grade levels.
Requirements
- Strong math proficiency through Pre-Calculus.
- Passion for math and working with students.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and be trained.
- High motivation, commitment, patience, and enthusiasm.
- Desire to work through the entire school year is required.
- Must be available to commit for at least 12 months.
- Provide work authorization.
- Pass a background check.
- Pass a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
Nice To Haves
- Classroom and/or one-on-one mathematics teaching experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Teach math to students in kindergarten through high school using the Mathnasium Method™.
- Work with a variety of students at different grade levels.
- Conduct all Mathnasium work at the Mathnasium Center, with no outside homework correction or lesson plan development.
