About The Position

Think Zone Learning Center in Irvine is hiring a part-time Math Tutor to provide personalized math instruction to K–8 students. Tutors help students build math skills, confidence, and positive learning habits in an engaging environment. The center provides the curriculum, materials, training, and support; lesson planning is not required.

The role is designed to fit around school schedules and typically involves 2–4 shifts per week, for 6–12 hours weekly, with opportunities for additional hours. Typical shifts are Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Wednesday and Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, or Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Saturday availability is strongly preferred. The program runs from June 2, 2026, through June 5, 2027, and pays $17–$19 per hour.

This opportunity is intended for friendly and dependable people who enjoy helping children learn. It is suitable for current high school students aged 16 or older, college students, or people with a high school diploma. Prior teaching or tutoring experience is a plus but is not required. Think Zone offers a potential growth path from Tutor to Lead Tutor, Assistant Manager, and Learning Center Manager.

Requirements

• Have a strong foundation in math.
• Communicate clearly and patiently.
• Be responsible and dependable.
• Enjoy helping others learn and encouraging younger students.
• Be currently enrolled in high school and at least 16 years old, enrolled in college, or have a high school diploma.
• Be available for 2–4 shifts per week; Saturday availability is strongly preferred.
