About The Position
Think Zone, part of TAL Education Group, helps K–8 students build strong math foundations through engaging, personalized instruction. We believe learning should be fun, challenging, and confidence-building—and our tutors play a huge role in making that happen. This part-time role is perfect for high school and college students looking for a rewarding after-school job where they can help elementary and middle school students build confidence in math while gaining valuable leadership, communication, and teaching experience. Requirements
- Enjoy helping others learn
- Have a strong foundation in math
- Communicate clearly and patiently
- Are responsible and dependable
- Love encouraging and motivating younger students
- Are currently in high school (16+) or college, or have a high school diploma
Nice To Haves
- Teaching or tutoring experience is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Tutor K–8 students through personalized one-on-one math instruction
- Explain math concepts in ways students can easily understand
- Encourage problem-solving and critical thinking
- Build students' confidence and celebrate their progress
- Create a positive, engaging learning environment
- Track student progress using our curriculum and resources
- Build positive relationships with students and families
