About The Position

An academic resource tutor will work one on one or in small groups with students identified by the classroom teacher. Reports to: Associate Principal for Teaching and Learning Math Department Chair Employee status: Educational Support Personnel - Direct Paraprofessional ESP Bargaining Union Calendar: 184 Teacher Attendance Days, 7:45am - 3:45pm

Requirements

• Paraprofessional License
• Evidence of subject­-matter competency preferred (i.e. degree major in content area, ISBE professional educator license with appropriate content ­area endorsement, work in related field, etc.)
• Proficient with Google G-Suite, office and phone equipment

Responsibilities

• Provide drop-in tutoring support for students.
• Individual and/or group tutoring will focus on reviewing concepts, homework, and additional practice.
• Collaborate with the MTSS team in the development and implementation of tutoring.
• Assist students in accessing online resources.
• New duties may be designed as the position evolves and/or further needs are identified.
