About The Position
Huntington Learning Center is seeking part-time Math and Exam Prep Teachers for its center in Plainfield. The ideal candidate will be caring, qualified, and committed to student success. Huntington Learning Center has been a leader in educational services since 1977, with a team of devoted tutors passionate about student achievement. The center offers tutoring for students aged 5-17 in various subjects including Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Study Skills, Phonics, Vocabulary, Science, Test Prep, High School Entrance Exam preparation, and SAT/PSAT & ACT preparation. Tutors receive intensive initial and ongoing training in Huntington's teaching methods and curriculum. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with students without the need to write lesson plans or grade homework, while enhancing one's resume with respected educational experience. The work environment is flexible, with after-school, weekend, and summer instructional hours available.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Must be a caring and qualified professional committed to the success of students.
- Certification a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide tutoring in Mathematics and Exam Prep to students aged 5-17.
- Implement Huntington's teaching methods and curriculum.
- Work directly with students to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Participate in initial and ongoing training in Huntington teaching methods and curriculum.
