KIPP NorCal high school math teachers create joyful, inclusive, and academically rigorous classrooms where students are challenged, supported, and empowered to succeed. Teachers deliver standards-aligned instruction using KIPP NorCal’s curriculum and academic priorities, use evidence of student learning to strengthen their practice, and build strong relationships with students and families. Through collaboration, coaching, and continuous reflection, teachers contribute to a school community grounded in educational equity, belonging, and high expectations. This is an on-site, school-based, full-time role on a school-year calendar. The role involves regular interaction with students, families, and staff in school and classroom environments, with frequent interruptions throughout the school day. Teachers must be able to navigate classroom and school environments, use instructional technology, and perform classroom teaching functions, with or without reasonable accommodation. Occasional lifting or carrying of classroom materials weighing up to 20 pounds may be required. The role also requires managing competing priorities, responding to student needs, sustaining attention during instruction, analyzing student learning, and making decisions in a dynamic school environment.
