About The Position
Lutheran High School East (Cleveland Heights, OH) is seeking a short-term high school Math instructor for the 2026-27 school year. The teacher will work from August 10 through October 9, earning $150-175 a day. Teaching hours are 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM. Applicants should hold a substitute license or greater and fulfill faculty expectations.
Requirements
- Hold a substitute license or greater
- Ability to fulfill the faculty expectations
- Must be able to pass an FBI & BCI background check
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate attendance records
- Enforce school dress code
- Hold students accountable for proper discipline inside and outside of class
- Communicate discipline issues appropriately with administration and parents
- Execute lesson plans that challenge students individually on a daily basis
- Regularly grade assignments and return to students for feedback
- Clearly state classroom policies and expectations and follow through on them
- Regularly maintain gradebook
- Communicate student concerns with Administration
- Communicate student safety concerns with administration & appropriate state/governmental agencies
