About The Position

KIPP NYC is seeking motivated and dedicated teachers to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to inspire and educate students, fostering both academic and character development. This role involves making a college preparatory education relevant for students' present and future success. The position is for the 2026-2027 academic year.

• Bachelor’s degree required

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of teaching experience is strongly preferred
• New York State teacher certification in the appropriate content area is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Planning a college preparatory curriculum that combines the school’s standards, New York State Standards, and fosters critical thinking.
• Executing thoughtful, rigorous daily college preparatory lessons.
• Assessing student progress, and communicating results to students, families, and colleagues.
• Providing individual and small group instruction until all students achieve mastery.
• Modeling KIPP NYC’s character strengths in all interactions and communications with students, families, and staff.
• Advising a small group of students to succeed through their four years of high school.
