Math/STEM Tutors, Grades 9-12, Established Local Firm
About The Position
The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring (TPAPT) is seeking STEM or/and Math tutoring specialists to work with students in grades 9-12. This is a part-time employee (W2) position with remote work available for California-based individuals. Tutors will provide remote tutoring support to students in grades 9-12, with sessions lasting 60 minutes. Assignments and availability are expected to be between 4-10 hours per week. The role requires an earned Bachelor's degree and the ability to teach one or more of the following subjects for grades 9-12: Biology, Chemistry, Physics (or their Advanced Placement counterparts), or Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calc, Calculus. Ideal candidates will possess a strong academic background and over 2 years of experience as a 9-12 teacher or tutor. The pay rate is $40 - $50/hr, commensurate with experience. Benefits include a flexible schedule and paid training. No marketing is required.
Requirements
- An earned Bachelor's degree
- The ability to teach one or more of the following for grades 9-12: Biology, Chemistry, Physics or the Advanced Placement counterpart to those subjects -OR- Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calc, Calculus
- Ideal candidates will have a strong academic background and >2 years of experience as grade 9-12 teacher or tutor
