Position Summary: The Math Push-In Teacher is the lead math teacher for 1st and 2nd grade at Belmont Charter School. They are responsible for driving student achievement in mathematics across two grade levels by delivering high-quality, standards-aligned instruction. This role includes leading math instruction for two homerooms throughout the day; one first-grade classroom and one second-grade classroom, providing whole group instruction and leading two targeted small group instruction blocks to ensure all students meet rigorous expectations. The Math Push-In Teacher independently plans and implements instruction aligned to grade-level standards, differentiates to meet diverse learner needs, and uses real-time data to adjust instruction and accelerate learning. They design and facilitate small group instruction, including intervention and enrichment, to close achievement gaps. This teacher is responsible for grading, progress monitoring, and analyzing student data while maintaining accurate records of performance. They communicate regularly with families, providing clear and actionable updates that support student growth.
