About The Position
Mathnasium is a leading education brand with over 1,300 learning centers globally, dedicated to teaching math to students from kindergarten through high school. Our mission is to help children understand, master, and love math through our world-class curriculum, built on the Mathnasium Method™. This method is the result of decades of hands-on instruction and development, positively impacting children since 2002. This role offers flexible, part-time hours with all work conducted at the Mathnasium Center, eliminating the need for homework correction or lesson plan development. The position is ideal for current teachers, retired teachers, or college students seeking to work through the entire school year.
Requirements
- Strong math proficiency through calculus.
- Passion for math and working with students.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and be trained.
- High motivation, commitment, patience, and enthusiasm.
- Desire to work through the entire school year.
- Provide work authorization.
- Pass a background check.
- Pass a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
Nice To Haves
- Classroom and/or one-on-one mathematics teaching experience.
Responsibilities
- Teach math to students in kindergarten through high school using the Mathnasium Method™.
- Work with a variety of students at different grade levels.
- Conduct all teaching activities at the Mathnasium Center.
- Learn and be trained in the proprietary Mathnasium method.
