About The Position

Mathnasium, a math learning center operated locally by GYP Education Institution, is seeking math instructors to teach students in grades TK–12 using the Mathnasium Method™ and a proven curriculum. Instructors provide individualized support in a low-stress, supportive environment, help students build confidence and problem-solving skills, and track progress with positive reinforcement. The role is part-time, approximately 8–20 hours per week, with center hours from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends. Training is provided, and hourly pay is competitive and based on experience and qualifications. Flexible scheduling is available, with potential advancement to a full-time Assistant Center Director or Center Director.

Requirements

• Strong math skills through Pre-Calculus or higher.
• Ability to communicate math clearly and patiently.
• Positive attitude and reliability.
• Enjoy working with children and making math fun.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a math proficiency or literacy test.
• Provide work authorization.
• Pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Calculus skills are a plus.
• Previous tutoring, teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience.
• College students or graduates in math, education, engineering, or STEM fields.
• High-performing high school juniors or seniors with advanced math skills are welcome to apply.
