About The Position

AoPS Academy is seeking a passionate Part-Time Math Instructor to teach advanced students in small, engaging, and collaborative classroom settings. The instructor will utilize company-created curriculum and materials, actively involve students in learning, manage classrooms of up to 16 students, grade and provide feedback on tests, and build relationships with students and families to foster a love for learning and critical thinking in math.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Strong content knowledge in math.
Experience teaching or tutoring students.
Candidates must be available to teach during weekday after-school hours (as early as 4pm) and/or on weekends.
This position requires a minimum initial commitment of about 3 hours per week for each assigned class.
Candidates must be located in Millburn/Short Hills, NJ or the greater area and must be able to commute to our campus.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
Unable to offer sponsorship, including STEM-OPT and H-1B.

Nice To Haves

A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related or educational field is strongly preferred.
Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred.
A formal teaching credential is not required for this position.
