Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certifications in logistics, construction, or warehouse management preferred.
  • Previous experience in materials handling, inventory management, or a similar role within construction or industrial environments.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices for material storage and handling.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of materials, tools, and equipment in the yard.
  • Effectively utilize inventory tracking systems to minimize loss and maximize efficiency.
  • Coordinate the receipt of incoming materials and supplies, inspect for quality and quantity.
  • Oversee the timely dispatch of items to job sites as requested by project teams.
  • Ensure the yard is organized and clean, with items stored safely and logically.
  • Prepare and maintain logs, delivery tickets, and inventory reports.
  • Schedule and track usage of company equipment, coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance with the appropriate departments.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers and procurement staff regarding material needs and discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with yard staff, drivers, and construction crews to facilitate a smooth workflow throughout the yard and Warehouse.
