The Materials Test Development Engineering position provides critical insights to Andersen’s engineering teams by evaluating how products and materials perform under a wide range of mechanical forces and environmental conditions. This work spans both laboratory and real-world applications, with analysis ranging from events occurring in milliseconds to performance trends observed over years. Operating within Andersen Corporation's Research, Development, and Innovation organization, this role is responsible for developing advanced experimental test methods that generate material data for simulation and modeling efforts, analyzing complex material datasets to characterize key performance attributes, and providing data-driven recommendations on material reliability to stakeholders across the R&D organization. The position serves as the technical owner of advanced measurement and testing technologies, including CT scanning, Digital Image Correlation (DIC), photogrammetry, cyclic fatigue testing systems, universal testing machines, dynamic mechanical analyzers (DMA), and parallel plate rheometers. The role also drives the evaluation, development, and implementation of emerging testing technologies to support future business and innovation needs.
