About The Position

The Materials Technician I will assist in the receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking of materials and equipment for Primoris Energy Services projects in Hubbard, Texas, ensuring efficient and accurate inventory management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse, materials management, or logistics role, preferably in the construction or energy industry.
  • Ability to read and understand purchase orders, packing lists, and material specifications.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory tracking software or data entry.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment (certification preferred, or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification for forklift operation preferred, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and equipment, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations or laydown yards, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Issue materials and equipment to project personnel as requested, accurately documenting all transactions.
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy of inventory records.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (certification may be required).
  • Prepare materials for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and loading.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movements, including receipts, issues, and returns, utilizing inventory management systems.
  • Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages of materials.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Materials Manager or Supervisor.
