About The Position

Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking a Materials Supervisor to lead a team in ensuring system parameters are appropriately set to maintain stocking positions and inventory goals while meeting production schedules for on-time customer order delivery. This role involves close coordination with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply, Engineering, Planning, and Operations departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, or business management
  • 1 - 3 years of supervision experience in planning in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning and materials management
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of supply planning, production planning, and scheduling
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to use ERP/MRP systems
  • Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
  • Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
  • Ability to stoop and bend required
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four-plus hours at a time required
  • Alignment with company core values required

  • Knowledge of Power BI and Tableau

Responsibilities

  • Build a process to identify key raw materials with stocking requirements.
  • Establish a process to set and maintain min/max targets in the ERP.
  • Develop and lead a team to ensure material availability for daily production requirements.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to manage stocking levels and on-time delivery for projects.
  • Work with production planning and the buying organization to ensure timely ordering and receipt of materials aligned with production requirements.
  • Analyze daily material status and present shortages to the team.
  • Attend daily production meetings.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure order planning and fulfillment.
  • Mitigate material shortages through internal and external escalation.
  • Perform unplanned component demand verification and upload.
  • Manage material requirement changes and dispositions.
  • Ensure correct material is used, matching the BOM. If there is a substitution, ensure all substitution or dispositioning activity is done timely and accurately for proper inventory accounting.
  • Perform ROP (re-order point) sizing activities monthly.
  • Work with buyers and production planners to ensure all materials are available and located prior to work orders being moved to production.
