Coordinate material control systems, inbound/outbound shipments, and materials handling activities and inventory control primarily from the shop floor. This role involves coordinating all material handler activities, warehouse layout, and training, coaching, and developing the material handling team. The supervisor will implement and assist in the development of cycle counting and pull systems, manage receiving and DMR processes, and oversee the input of incoming receipts and outbound shipments. Additionally, the role requires coordinating customs compliance, observing operations for compliance with standards, ensuring efficient equipment operation, and assisting in maintaining visual inventory benchmarks. Daily coordination of production builds schedules, floor walks, and acting as a liaison between Materials and Production are key responsibilities. The supervisor will also coordinate outside warehouse activities, run RPS history and cumulative reports, manage supplier cum reconciliation, and monitor system for accurately tracking Truckload Utilization (TUMS). The role includes initiating action to prevent non-conformities, managing onsite replenishment of trailers, identifying and recording problems, initiating solutions, controlling non-conforming product, and actively participating in Health/Safety/Environmental investigations and the 8D process. Reporting accidents, occupational illnesses, and HSE&E emergencies, and informing supervisors of known HSE&E conditions are also part of the responsibilities. Ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and safe working procedures in assigned material areas is paramount.
