Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Buyers and Buyer Analysts driving procurement excellence for multi-site switchgear manufacturing operations. Maintain continuous knowledge and an understanding of company’s supplier product demands and production scheduling techniques, including identifying current and future demand requirements for assigned commodities. Define and implement replenishment strategies that ensure availability of components aligned with the manufacturing schedule. Actively define, recommend, and deploy continuous improvement strategies to improve the procurement processes. Drive operational metrics and ensure stocking parameters are aligned to business needs. Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand and manage stock to minimize costs and avoid shortages. Build and maintains strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and cross functional teams. Build a collaborative team environment that incentivizes professional growth and long-term career development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years previous experience in buying or purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years' experience in a team leadership role is preferred.
  • People first approach to build strong and collaborative relationships with cross functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to operate within a dynamic environment supporting a high growth business.
