This position will play a critical role in supporting FDOT’s mission by ensuring the quality and compliance of concrete materials used in transportation infrastructure across District 7. The successful candidate will perform thorough inspections and evaluations of materials, components, facilities, and operations to ensure compliance with FDOT specifications, Quality Control plans, and contract requirements. They will conduct Independent Assurance evaluations in accordance with Department procedures and federal guidelines, maintaining professionalism and objectivity throughout. The role includes reviewing QC and construction plans and related documents, providing clear, accurate, and timely feedback. The candidate will also perform field and laboratory testing in accordance with established standards, ensuring precise reporting and proper upkeep of testing equipment. Additional responsibilities include delivering technical support, guidance, and training to stakeholders; analyzing materials data for compliance and emerging trends; implementing corrective actions when necessary; and carrying out other duties that support the Department’s mission and overall quality goals.
