About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk Level II is responsible for preparing and maintaining shipping and receiving documentation. They will move inventory to and from warehouse locations as needed. Their responsibilities include safely handling materials and products, using equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks to transport items within the warehouse, and ensuring that products are located properly. They need to be aware of the needs for shipping, receiving, and production to support properly.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50-lbs.
  • Extensive walking and unloading.
  • Bending, Twisting, Reaching, Lifting and Squatting during the course of the shift.
  • 3 years of shipping/receiving experience.
  • Forklift experience – certified.
  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Barcode Scanning Technology.
  • Good communication skills to arrange pickup & shipments.

Responsibilities

  • Safely handling materials and products.
  • Using equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks to transport items within the warehouse.
  • Ensuring that products are located properly.
  • Supporting shipping, receiving, and production needs.
  • Accurately selecting and gathering goods from storage.
  • Packaging goods properly and preparing them for shipment.
  • Preparing Pick List, Packing List, Certificate of Conformance, and additional shipping documentation.
  • Arranging carrier and preparing goods for shipment.
  • Forwarding appropriate paperwork to Accounting for shipments.
  • Loading/unloading goods.
  • Creating labels for incoming raw materials and purchased components.
  • Notifying requesters of goods received.
  • Forwarding appropriate paperwork to Accounting for receipts.
  • Performing periodic cycle counts of finished goods and assembly components inventory.
  • Performing physical inventory of all materials and components as required.
  • Maintaining and updating the Inventory Results spreadsheet.
  • Inspecting warehouse location identifiers, reprinting or replacing damaged or missing labels.
  • Maintaining an organized and clean warehouse.
  • Safely operating material-handling equipment to move, stack, and transport goods within the warehouse.
  • Maintaining the dock free or with enough space for the load/unload of material.
  • Assisting Material Handlers when needed.
