About The Position

The Material Planner manages the raw materials, packaging, and miscellaneous items inventory levels, ensuring they comply with agreed stock policies while completing specific actions to level up or down to optimal levels when necessary. This role is responsible to plan and execute the ERP system signals into specific purchase orders to be received on time to meet the production long term and short-term plans. This role also manages inventory at risk and our supplier management relationships.

Requirements

University degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or any technical related field.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in manufacturing facility in a similar supply chain role.
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
Proficient in excel.
This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to understand complex manufacturing processes and how it relates to the procurement process.
This position requires making and helping managers make key business decisions that could have a major impact on the organizational performance, both in the short and the long term.
Required to work and leverage in a multicultural setting (including multi-generational, multi-ethnic, different educational backgrounds, etc.)

Nice To Haves

Master’s in business administration degree is considered a plus.
APICS certification is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

Enforce Flavor Manufacturing raw materials inventory policies while completing specific actions to adjust or bring inventories to optimal levels when necessary and considering warehouse capacity and shelf-life.
Plans, schedules and monitors inbound movement of raw materials and ingredients from suppliers.
Determines material and ingredient requirements.
Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with production.
Handles procurement activities related to acquisition of materials and ingredients from selected suppliers.
Coordinates with transportation to ensure efficient, effective delivery of materials.
Develops specifications for new contract orders.
