About The Position

The Materials Manager builds and sustains the material management infrastructure, processes, systems, and controls that enable efficient factory operations and consistent product delivery. The role provides frontline leadership while overseeing material flow, warehousing, inventory management, and process compliance across the facility. The position coordinates daily operations, establishes standard work, develops scalable processes, and ensures adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards. Working closely with production and cross-functional teams, the Materials Manager removes material-related constraints, improves factory throughput, and drives continuous improvement through data-driven decision making and operational discipline. The role is especially focused on analytics, material flow optimization, inventory accuracy, warehouse operations, procedure compliance, and sustainable processes that support long-term business growth. The position requires working a five-day-a-week schedule in the office. Travel of less than 5% is possible. Relocation and visa sponsorship are not available.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Working knowledge of problem-solving approaches, tools, and techniques, with the ability to apply them to varied situations.
Basic understanding of performance management techniques and the ability to use organizational practices and tools to develop and improve individual, team, and organizational performance.
Working knowledge of analytical techniques and tools, including identifying root causes and developing alternative solutions.
Basic understanding of decision-making processes and tools, with the ability to analyze situations and reach informed decisions.
Working knowledge of planning and organizing tasks and resources systematically.
Ability to occasionally lift parts up to 35 pounds individually or up to 70 pounds with a team lift.
Ability to bend, reach, and squat while performing tasks.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment for assigned tasks.
Ability to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods while performing tasks.

Experience gathering, analyzing, and interpreting operational data to identify trends and drive decisions.
Demonstrated ability to use metrics and reporting to improve material flow, warehouse operations, and factory throughput.

Ability to build structure, accountability, and discipline within a growing operation.
