About The Position

The Materials Manager at Closet Factory of Kentucky will oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of materials needed for our custom storage solution operations. This role is critical to ensuring efficient production processes by maintaining appropriate stock levels, coordinating with suppliers, and collaborating with other departments to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in materials management, inventory control, or supply chain management.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Driven to success and continuous improvement is critical
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Proven knowledge of Quickbooks and Salesforce are a significant plus
  • a degree in supply chain management or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain inventory levels of raw materials and supplies.
  • Coordinate purchasing activities, negotiate with suppliers, and monitor order fulfillment.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines to prevent delays.
  • Implement and improve inventory control procedures and systems.
  • Track material usage and report discrepancies or shortages promptly.
  • Collaborate closely with production, sales, and logistics teams to align materials management with operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions and prepare regular reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards in materials handling.
  • KPIs include Cost of Goods Sold and Project Readiness Rate as well as standard Operations metrics
