About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Planner to optimize inventory management, lead strategic initiatives, and partner across the organization to enhance customer satisfaction. The role focuses on inventory optimization and accuracy, managing third-party logistics provider relationships, and driving continuous improvements in operational performance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, or project management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Technical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • Experience in vendor management and 3PL operations.
  • Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • APICS Certification CPIM or CSCP.
  • Lean manufacturing background and experience in material management in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and control performance, cost, and capacity of External Fulfillment Logistics provider (3PL).
  • Negotiate SLAs and drive continuous operational performance improvements with 3PL providers.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy across assigned programs by implementing inventory controls and replenishment processes.
  • Develop and execute effective cycle count programs to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze inventory data, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend solutions to improve inventory turns, reduce waste, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance teams to align on inventory goals and drive initiatives to achieve them.
  • Design and deploy streamlined inventory management workflows, leveraging system automation where possible.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures for inventory-related activities.
  • Support the implementation of inventory management system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects related to engineering changes, master data management, and supply chain improvements.
  • Provide analytical reports and actionable insights to senior leadership.
