About The Position

Under the supervision of the Materials Management Supervisor, the incumbent prioritizes and processes Warehouse work/trip requests, warehouse requisitions, and operates none CDL Vehicles. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move and/or lift up to 100 pounds. May occasionally be required to type and operate basic computer software applications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Valid Class D -driver’s license required with a valid medical card
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and processes Warehouse work/trip requests
• Processes warehouse requisitions
• Operates none CDL Vehicles
• Operates pallet jacks, forklifts, reach lifts and other equipment used in Warehouse operations
• Writes routine reports and correspondence
• Adds, subtracts, multiplies and divides in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, computes ratio, rate and percent
• Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and schedule form
• Types and operates basic computer software applications
