About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Materials Management and Transportation Manager to join their Fulfillment team in Everett, WA. This role operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, offering opportunities to learn new skills, solve challenging problems, and grow within the Supply Chain (SC) organization. The position is supplier-facing, requiring the manager to oversee external supplier relationships and project manage all aspects of their performance. The Fulfillment Manager will lead a team supporting enterprise-level initiatives and high-visibility supply chain projects, developing and executing integrated organizational plans to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate will be able to lead teams, understand strategic organizational aspects and initiatives, navigate a complex organization, and demonstrate knowledge of the company and multiple functional areas to achieve supply chain management goals and meet customer expectations. The candidate must be capable of translating strategic goals into tactical actions for the team. This role requires willingness to work second shift.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing Operation functions (Manufacturing, Materials Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Operations)
  • 10+ years of experience managing or leading people or teams, preferably leading both salary and hourly personnel
  • 10+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • 10+ years of experience as proven leader with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • 10+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience in Inventory Management or Supply Chain processes and techniques
  • 10+ years of experience with warehousing and logistics
  • 10+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk identification
  • 10+ years of experience leading or managing process improvement projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Manages and integrates employee and mid-level manager activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation.
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.
