About The Position

As a Materials Handling Tech I, your key role is to organize, track and deliver supplies that are vital to the success of the hospital. Ensuring that each room and floor is stocked and prepared for the next patient at all times, is an essential practice throughout the system. This position provides hospital and affiliated facilities with materials to the designated area in an expedient manner and maintains accountability of supplies distributed and services performed. Performs inventory checks to ensure adequate supply distribution management.

Requirements

• Complete Materials Management Skills Checklist I required
• Participated in Hazardous Materials Safety Training and Safety Lifting Program
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office software familiarity
• None

Responsibilities

• Ensure all necessary forms are completed; ensure all materials are stocked to the appropriate level per exchange cart; report all inventory discrepancies to Buyer/Planner, Supervisors and/or Materials Manager; inventory and maintain medical equipment supply levels
• Ensure materials are kept in their proper location; review package slips and verify incoming materials
• Fill miscellaneous orders from departments; transport materials to designated areas with documentation; ensure all incoming materials are signed for by the department
