About The Position
Remove cartons from the special order handling belt and sort on wooden pallets by customer. Wrap full pallets with plastic wrap then utilizing a pallet jack move pallets to the designated staging area.
Requirements
- Must read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations
- Must be able to learn to use the equipment required to complete task
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended period of time
- Must be able to perform all functions of the job safely
- Must complete company new hire and safety orientation
Responsibilities
- Obtain pallet jack and wooden pallet
- Monitor the special order handling belt for cartons
- Remove cartons from the belt and place on wooden pallets by customer
- Cut tape and breakdown boxes as needed; Stack on pallet; wear approved cutting gloves
- Secure full pallets with plastic wrap
- Move secured pallet to designated staging area and obtain another empty pallet
- Perform general housekeeping duties in work area during and at the end of shift
- Perform any additional duties as specified by supervisor.
- The employee will obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
