About The Position

Oneida Health Hospital is currently seeking a full-time Materials Handler for the day shift (7am - 3:30pm) with an occasional weekend rotation. This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of storeroom activities and is responsible for the safety and proper handling of equipment and supplies during unit deliveries. The ideal candidate will be efficient and able to perform tasks thoroughly.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
• Materials Management in a Healthcare Setting: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Verifying and checking the completeness of materials received, checking packing lists, and accurately receiving items into Inventory System.
• Restocking received the product.
• Packing and shipping merchandise and equipment for return to supplier.
• Inventorying and replenishing all departmental/clinical store rooms.
• Performing physical inventory counts during semi-annual inventory.
• Keeping receiving area, warehouse shelves, and aisles clean, organized, and free of hazards and obstructions.
• Maintaining material handling equipment and reporting any potential problems.
• Maintaining records in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Using effective communication with customers, co-workers, and other team members.
