About The Position

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a motivated Materials Handler for a potential Temp-to-Hire position in Chaska, MN. This role involves various tasks related to the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and order fulfillment of merchandise and materials. The ideal candidate will have a stable work history with 2-3 years of experience in material handling and be a local candidate. The position is primarily a day shift, Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM, with flexibility for required overtime before 8 AM and potential Saturday work (7 AM - 12 PM) as needed.

Requirements

Stable work history
2-3 years of solid experience in material handling
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude including the ability to use hand tools
Applies general math skills including fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to speak distinctly and see and hear clearly
Adhere to safety procedures consistent with the use of hand and power tools
Basic computer skills
Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required.

Nice To Haves

Familiar with SAP inventory management a plus
Forklift experience is preferred, but not required (will go through a certification through TEL)

Responsibilities

Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment
Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods, and rejects unsatisfactory items
Packages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment
Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift
Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped
Reviews customer orders, examines, stocks, and distributes merchandise, products, and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers, or manufacturing lines
Managing the non-inventory items stored for each business unit (moving, labeling, and updating holding lists)
Manages storage requests for special projects/shipments
Warehouse storage management and space allocation
