About The Position

The Production Material Handler is responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate the can loading station, and monitor the production stock of finished goods components on the production floor. This position will also be responsible for keeping an accurate count of finished goods and components going to the warehouse.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with production, warehouse, and other team members.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods and lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling preferred.
  • Previous forklift and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred; must be able to obtain company-required certification.

Responsibilities

  • Stage, move, and distribute raw materials, components, supplies, and finished goods to support production operations.
  • Monitor production floor inventory levels and replenish materials and components as needed to prevent production delays.
  • Set up and operate the can loading station in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Pull and verify materials and components according to production orders, including item numbers, lot numbers, and quantities.
  • Maintain accurate counts of materials, components, and finished goods moving between production and warehouse staging areas.
  • Return unused components and finished goods to designated warehouse or staging locations and ensure materials are properly identified.
  • Record material movements, quantities, locations, and other required inventory information accurately.
  • Identify and report inventory shortages, discrepancies, damaged materials, or incorrect components to the appropriate team member.
  • Maintain organized production, staging, and material storage areas to support safe and efficient operations.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and in accordance with company requirements.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of materials and finished goods as needed.
  • Follow established inventory control, material handling, quality, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to material flow, inventory accuracy, organization, and production efficiency.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support production and warehouse operations.
