About The Position

Leatherman Tool Group is hiring a dependable, hardworking Materials Handler to keep materials moving and production running in its manufacturing and logistics operations in Portland, Oregon. This is a highly physical, active role involving continual movement and material handling throughout the workday, rather than primarily forklift driving or desk-based inventory work. Two schedules are listed: Monday–Thursday, 2:30 p.m.–1 a.m., or Monday–Friday, 2 p.m.–10:30 p.m.; occasional additional volunteer time may be available. The Materials Handler moves materials, parts, components, and supplies between manufacturing and storage areas; processes incoming materials; prepares shipments; and supports manufacturing teams as priorities change. The role uses Microsoft Dynamics 365 and scanning equipment to maintain inventory records, conduct cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and locate or expedite materials. Forklift and riding pallet jack training and certification are provided. The work takes place in an active manufacturing environment with regular exposure to noise, dust, lubricants, and coolant mist or vapor. Appropriate personal protective equipment and safety training are provided. The position requires continual lifting and movement, including lifting materials up to 30 pounds throughout the workday, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, regular pushing and pulling of loads averaging 125 pounds, and occasional pushing or pulling up to 250 pounds. Leatherman is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants based on their ability to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
