About The Position

The Materials Handler is responsible for supplying parts to the production area using various methods, including mobile equipment and by hand. This role requires operating production equipment safely, managing inbound materials, and handling trash and hazardous waste removal. The position demands flexibility and adaptability to a changing production environment, maintaining workflow by anticipating material needs, and managing warehouse inventory (finished goods, non-inventory items). Compliance with FDA regulations is essential, as is understanding and utilizing the Kan Ban system for ordering raw materials. Adherence to housekeeping standards and performing other assigned duties are also key aspects of this role. The work environment is fast-paced, Just-In-Time, and requires careful operation of forklifts in areas with other traffic and limited maneuverability, always prioritizing pedestrian safety.

Requirements

Must be forklift qualified.
Flexible and adaptable to an ever changing production environment.
Drive forklift with caution, and watch for pedestrians.

Nice To Haves

High School or GED preferred, not required.
One year related manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Supply parts to Scrubs production area via mobile equipment, by hand and/or by other means.
Responsible for the safe conduct and operation of Scrubs line equipment.
Able to account for all inbound material.
Responsible for all trash removal and removal of hazardous material wastes.
Able to maintain workflow by being aware of materials required days in advance.
Must maintain warehouse (finished goods, non-inventory items).
Maintain compliance with relevant FDA regulations.
Able to comprehend the Kan Ban system and order raw materials.
Responsible for adherence to all housekeeping standards for this department.
Perform other duties as assigned.
