Requirements

  • A hands-on team player who enjoys being on the floor, supporting production, and keeping materials moving efficiently.

  • Comfortable with systems and processes, including ERP/WMS tools and structured inventory or Kanban methods.
  • Committed to safety and quality, following proper material handling procedures to prevent damage or risk.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment
  • Familiarity with inventory systems, scanners, or ERP/WMS tools
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, particularly in addressing inventory discrepancies or material shortages
  • Ability to operate, or willingness to learn, forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (22 kg) regularly and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (noise, temperature variation, etc.) (required).

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience with receiving, inventory control, or cycle counting is considered an asset.
  • Exposure to Kanban or just-in-time (JIT) inventory systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver raw materials, components, and packaging supplies to production lines in accordance with production schedules.
  • Manage and replenish materials using Kanban signals/cards to support just-in-time (JIT) production.
  • Monitor Kanban levels and trigger replenishment to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Planning and Purchasing to address shortages, overstock, or obsolete items.
  • Ensure proper material handling to prevent damage, contamination, or loss
  • Remove finished goods, scrap, and empty containers from production areas.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or tuggers (as required).
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and condition against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues as needed.
  • Accurately enter receipts into ERP/WMS systems.
  • Label, store, and organize materials in designated locations.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure Kanban accuracy and compliance with inventory rules.
  • Maintain Visual Management standards for Kanban racks and storage areas.
  • Support cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy.
