About The Position

The Materials Handler will be responsible for inventorying and stocking supply and procedure carts, delivering medical supplies, patient care equipment, and linen to all areas of the hospital, putting supplies away in the Storeroom, and sorting and delivering mail. This role requires a High School Graduate, previous warehouse/materials handling experience is preferred, and computer knowledge and experience with a Windows operating system is necessary. The handler must be able to make effective decisions, multitask, adapt rapidly to changes, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Training will be provided on the Materials Management computerized inventory system.

Responsibilities

• Inventorying and stocking supply and procedure carts
• Delivering medical supplies, patient care equipment, and linen to all areas of the hospital
• Putting supplies away in the Storeroom
• Sorting and delivering mail
• Assembling and delivering orders for supplies and equipment
• Filling out all required documentation completely and accurately when issuing or crediting supplies to maintain the integrity of the computerized inventory system
• Picking up soiled linen and patient care equipment
• Providing assistance to end users of the Materials Management computer system
• Other duties assigned with regular and predictable attendance
