0513 - Materials Handler
About The Position
The Materials Handler is responsible for safely moving materials throughout the facility using forklifts and other equipment. This role involves issuing and receiving materials for job orders and inventory, loading, unloading, picking, packing, and shipping customer orders, and building crates and pallets for shipments. The position also requires performing daily cycle counts and inventory reconciliation, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with freight carriers. Following all safety procedures, completing required training, and performing daily equipment checks are essential.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations
- Forklift experience required
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to read and understand drawings, bills of materials, and work instructions
- Experience with inventory control and storeroom procedures
- Familiarity with shipping software (e.g., UPS) and freight carriers
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and packaging equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

- Crane/rigging experience a plus
