About The Position

The Material Handler II performs a wide range of duties related to the on-time and accurate storage, movement, order pulling and issuing of materials in support of all production operations. Fralock is an engineered solutions provider of specialty components and subassemblies using advanced materials for high reliability, severe environment, and technically challenging applications. We develop and manufacture custom integrated solutions. Established in 1967, we are a critical solutions provider to Fortune 500 corporations, government, and targeted OEMs in a variety of industries including Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturing, Medical and Life Science, Aerospace and Defense, Industrial, Electronics, and Energy. Fralock is headquartered in Valencia, CA with manufacturing locations located throughout Northern and Southern California.

Requirements

  • Great verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP software systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, time sensitive, high volume warehouse environment.
  • Proven multitasking skills, with a team player attitude.
  • Strong time management and clerical skills.
  • Pallet jack experience.
  • Ability to compare and analyze documentation along with customer requirements.
  • Desire for continuous improvement and growth.
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed.
  • 0-1 years of material handling experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • High School diploma, GED or five (3) years’ work experience.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
  • Able to spend the day standing, bending, walking, lifting, etc.
  • Requires using hands to lift boxes, handle tools or controls.
  • This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR (which generally means (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, as specified under applicable law.

Responsibilities

  • Review all job order specifications, shelf life and lot control requirements.
  • Locate and pull all materials called out on the job order pick list.
  • Print and label all materials with specified job order numbers.
  • Transact and issue material in the M2M system.
  • Deliver material along with job orders to designated work centers throughout the shop.
  • Pickup materials from designated "return to stock" locations on the production floor and return them to the warehouse staging area.
  • Assist the Material Controller and Inventory Associate to keep all inventory accurate by supporting as needed.
  • Other tasks assigned by immediate supervisor.
