About The Position

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Materials Engineer specializing in Polymers to join their innovative Materials Engineering Team. This role is responsible for creating innovative solutions that address unmet customer needs by integrating new technologies and methodologies to deliver new-to-world products and product enhancements. The engineer will be empowered to own and drive projects, contributing to the fastest-growing brand in the construction industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Materials Science, Materials Science and Engineering, Materials Engineering, or similar discipline.
  • Experience with standard materials lab equipment (sample preparation equipment, microscopes, analytical testing equipment (MFR/FTIR/DSC/TGA), etc.).
  • Extremely driven individual ready to lead their own projects, establish a schedule, and drive execution on their projects and assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general materials analysis including polymer sample preparation, create analysis reports and communicate to stakeholders.
  • Conduct and design experiments associated with the processing of materials and optimizing material properties.
  • Lead polymer materials related projects with routine reporting to cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with a variety of engineering teams, technicians, outside suppliers and more.
