About The Position

UTLX, a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings backed by Berkshire Hathaway, is seeking a Materials Distributor. This role is responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, including receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, picking, and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or pass a Combined Basic Skills Test.
  • Forklift Training or willingness to be trained.
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record of no more than three moving violations in the past three years.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently both as a member of a team and independently.
  • Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and assembly instructions.
  • Safety and quality focused.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE at all times and always work safely.
  • Availability to work any shift.
  • Dependable and reliable to show up for scheduled work shifts including overtime, as allowed per the union contract.
  • Legally can work in US now & future without sponsorship (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Delivering parts and packages received.
  • Tracking shipments.
  • Ordering materials.
  • Tracking material receipts.
  • Contacting vendors for information on materials.
  • Maintaining organization and cleanliness of all materials areas.
  • Unloading/loading materials to carrier’s vehicle.
  • Driving/operating a forklift.
  • Visually inspecting incoming materials for damage and verifying quantity against orders.
  • Maintaining area in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Reporting work hazards.
