About The Position

UTLX, a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings backed by Berkshire Hathaway, is seeking a Materials Distributor. This role is responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, including receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, picking, and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or pass a Combined Basic Skills Test.
Forklift Training or willingness to be trained.
Valid driver’s license and a driving record of no more than three moving violations in the past three years.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently both as a member of a team and independently.
Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and assembly instructions.
Safety and quality focused.
Willingness to wear required PPE at all times and always work safely.
Availability to work any shift.
Dependable and reliable to show up for scheduled work shifts including overtime, as allowed per the union contract.
Legally can work in US now & future without sponsorship (preferred).

Responsibilities

Delivering parts and packages received.
Tracking shipments.
Ordering materials.
Tracking material receipts.
Contacting vendors for information on materials.
Maintaining organization and cleanliness of all materials areas.
Unloading/loading materials to carrier’s vehicle.
Driving/operating a forklift.
Visually inspecting incoming materials for damage and verifying quantity against orders.
Maintaining area in a neat and orderly manner.
Reporting work hazards.
