About The Position

The Materials Distribution Technician is responsible for daily par supply profiling for various Health System departments; delivering clean linen and collecting soiled linen; processing mail; and performing other storeroom and inventory functions as assigned. This is a per diem position in the Materials Management department, with first-shift schedules of 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, and a second-shift schedule of 3:00 PM–11:30 PM. Compensation is based on experience, with an estimated range of $16.54–$25.24 and a starting rate of $16.54.

Requirements

• High school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily reports on materials handled, manually and electronically.
• Deliver clean linen and pick up soiled linen.
• Perform storeroom functions, including filling orders, putting away supplies, labeling supplies, and general straightening of supplies.
• Replenish par-level carts and cabinets in departments.
• Sort incoming and outgoing mail.
• Work with department representatives to update supply and linen carts, maintain appropriate par levels, and add or remove supplies and linens as changes occur.
• Work with the Inventory Data Specialist to understand additions or changes to storeroom supplies.
• Provide linen number counts to the Inventory Data Specialist and ensure understanding of additions or changes to storeroom supplies.
• Provide linen number counts to the Inventory Data Specialist for Accounting.
