Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years experience in a clerical role in a manufacturing environment coordinating shipping and receiving efforts is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Conduct customer related tasks via the telephone, e-mail, Internet, and in person.
  • Must have strong attention to detail, be orderly and practice good housekeeping
  • Ability to represent the company effectively in dealing with internal and external customers
  • Good communications skills (both oral and written) and good negotiating skills
  • Solid decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated experience with widely accepted MRP systems and applications software.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.
  • Engage in matters involving high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism and tact.
  • Working knowledge of various supply chain strategies including, JIT, Kanban with a through understanding of production and inventory control principles.
  • Ability to create, track and meet schedules at a multi-task level along with project management skills
  • Proven analytical/technical aptitude.

  • Ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines.
  • Work overtime as required

Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound and outbound dock door assignments.
  • Effectively and efficiently coordinate unloading of inbound material or outbound finished goods.
  • Verify condition of all inbound/outbound material.
  • Enter receipts into the ERP system (Oracle).
  • Collaborate with hourly Material Handlers directing where to move receipted material.
  • Assist with locating material in plant if necessary.
  • Enter all receiving, packing lists, and bills into computer on a timely basis.
  • Prints bar code labels and attaches to product to ensure proper identification.
  • Responsible for performing trouble-shooting activities daily, when receiving / shipping transactions or One network transaction fail. This requires knowledge of the Oracle inventory modules, Work-In-Process Modules, Purchasing Modules, One network Modules and Shipping Modules.
  • Responsible for applying a systematic problem-solving approach when transactions fail. Know what information transactions are dependent upon, verify that information is in place and contact the appropriate people upon discovery of missing information.
  • Responsible for knowing the various types of receiving / shipping transactions and when to use them. This is dependent upon on the type of part received, i.e. outside processing part, a straight purchase order receipt, or an engineering sample part.
  • Observe prescribed safety regulations and other standards of operation and conduct.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate with all internal departments, trucking companies and customers.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by assigned supervisor.
