About The Position

The Materials Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the movement of materials to, from, and within the company to ensure schedules are met. This role ensures the smooth and safe movement of material and coordinates inventory among manufacturing, distribution, marketing, and/or sales support. The position also involves managing end-of-quarter inventory position analysis and forecasting, contacting suppliers for return material authorizations, conducting system maintenance, and maintaining product and document numbering systems. Additionally, the Materials Coordinator will create and maintain raw material, semi-finished, and finished product material records, as well as revision levels for all materials and bills of material. This role requires working independently with moderate supervision.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of scheduling procedures and processes
  • Ability to follow and interpret ISO department procedures
  • Ability to interact with other members of the organization
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Knowledge of MRP and Oracle WIP systems
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-4+ years materials or related work experience
  • Vocational training or equivalent
  • Previous experience using MRP and Oracle at intermediate level
  • CPIM or APICS Certification

Responsibilities
