The Material Coordinator is responsible for coordinating material activities and system transactions required to support outsourced fabrication activities. Working closely with Procurement, Planning, Warehouse, Logistics, Finance, Quality, and other cross-functional stakeholders, this role maintains visibility of material status, coordinates required documentation and helps resolve material-related issues that may impact fabrication schedules. This position plays a key role in maintaining material readiness, coordinating required material documentation, and supporting KPI tracking related to material availability, delivery performance, and fabrication readiness to ensure supplier fabrication and ship construction schedules remain on track. The Material Coordinator maintains material coordination activities in accordance with Seaspan’s operational processes, documentation requirements, and applicable quality and classification society standards. Note: This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement.
