About The Position

Primoris Distribution Services (PDS), a division of Primoris Services Corporation, is a construction contracting company providing services for the gas, oil, electric, and telecommunications industry. PDS is a leader in gas line installation. This role is responsible for managing inventory and reporting material usage for current MSA projects and other miscellaneous projects. The company is in the process of procuring inventory software to enhance user-friendliness, currently utilizing an Excel-based tracking sheet.

Requirements

3-5 years of Inventory/Materials management in an industrial environment or Utility/Construction Environment
High school/GED
MS Office proficiency
Very good written and verbal communication skills at all levels
Great organizational skills
Able to lift 50lbs
Physically capable of walking on uneven terrain

Nice To Haves

Any further education a plus
Previous Gas industry or utility industry experience a plus (familiar with material types)
Mechanized Loading Equipment/Forklift experience a plus but not necessary

Responsibilities

Manage inventory and report material inventory usage by job/crew
Maintain sufficient inventory levels for current MSA project
Use of mechanized equipment to load/off load vehicles and organize yard and warehouse
Place material inventory orders
Receive material orders from project managers/general foreman for other miscellaneous projects and enter those with vendors for site deliveries
Communicate with suppliers concerning order status
Add new materials into inventory system
Procure materials not stocked by our customer chosen material vendors
